Working TogetherThe YMCA has been a part of the Fond du Lac community for more than 100 years. Working together with the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac we've been able to imagine a completely renovated facility that will be able to meet the needs of our growing community. This new combined facility will provide better space for family interaction, and interaction between generations and diverse backgrounds. By working together, the Fond du Lac Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac are setting an example of how organizations with complementary missions can work together for a healthier community. But we can't do it alone. Through the first phase of our campaign we've managed to raise more than $8 million toward our $12.5 million goal. Many of these commitments have come from philanthropic organizations with a mission to benefits children and families. They're happy to help out. However, these organizations need to know that our community supports this effort as well. That's where you come in. Once completed the new facility will be a benefit to the entire community. Not only will it provide a space for exercise, sharing and interaction but it will also appeal to individuals and families looking to relocate. It will also provide a reason for our members to stay active, and an incentive to others to begin. |
Share Your StorySo many Y and Club members are willing to share their story about what these organizations have meant to them. Maybe you have a story you'd like to share, too. It's easy to share . . . just complete a story form.HeadlinesMarch 10, 2006Fond du Lac Family YMCA Executive Director/CEO Greg Giles announced at its annual meeting Thursday the YMCA's intent to begin a capital campaign to raise $12 million to build a new facility on its existing site.November 1, 2007Excitement for the building of a new Fond du Lac YMCA and Boys and Girls Club continues to mount as the community phase of the capital fund raising campaign kicks off on November 7.December 13, 2007On November 7 the Fond du Lac YMCA and Boys and Girls Club kicked off the community phase of their capital campaign.
